Taken in Canyonlands, Utah - I wanted this shot to be like a scene within a scene. Instead of the arch being the star of the shot, I wanted it to be part of the perfect framing. This is one of those photographs that the more you look at it, the more you see. The snow-capped peaks in the distance have an almost mystical feel about them and the light of the sunrise added the perfect glow to the arch and the canyon plateaus. It's almost a halo effect.
